My piano and singing lessons began when I was about seven years old. My mother comes from a family of musicians and my father knows piano since he is fourteen, so my and my siblings were force to take on our musical side very early on. I sey we were forced because my sister wanted a pet, my brother wanted to play videogames, and I just wanted to be happy; but taking piano lessong was not going to solve any of those problems, or so I thought.
I took piano lessons until I was about 13 years old, and from there, my parents told us it was our time to keep learning for ourselves. So when the piano leasons were over, I was the happiest kid. I had more time in my hands and I could chose no to practice. As time went by, a part of me wanted to go back to music but I did not want to give my parents that gift because I was prideful.
Finally, when I was about sixteen, I began having questions about life and death and everything in between. I did not know what was real anymore and my emotional health was bad. It was the first time in my life I had a strong desire to play piano all for myself. Nuvole Bianche by Ludovico Einaudi. Leson the song took me four months but it was a healing experience. Music helped tame the brokeness inside of me and allowed me to transfer my emotions to something healthy.
Noadays, I use music to sooth my soul, clear my mind, and channel my emotions to something beautiful. I am currently learning The Tearsmith. I will always encourage others to learn an instrument and play often because music saved my life.
How would you explain the significance of having a video script or storyboard to an employer who doesn’t know what it is?
Writing a video script is an amazing step in the video process that will allow anyone to sucessfully create a video that engages your audiences and achieves Marketing goals.
A video script is a peace of written content that allows you to prepare for the video by writing a transcript of the audio, visuals, and narration as well as characters included. A video script should be written before gathering all the material and creating the actual video. During the video script there should be peer review and feedback to have a final draft before getting to action. Once the video script is ready, it is the perfect time to start preparing for the creation of the video.
A video script is important to make sense of different ideas and organize information that will flow. Once, it is time to create the actual video, having a video script will make everything easier and it will save you a lot of time.
As I wrote my video script and received feedback I was able to learn many script tactics that are essential for a good video script like transitions, adding music, and words for each section. At first it was harder than I thought to come up with an idea and write it down to make sense of it. However, as I kept writing, it was easier for me to convey the message I had in mind. It helped me develop more confidence on my ideas and having them make sense as I write them.
After my work was reviewed , I received feedback take from AI which in a way was helpful. Having a machine review your work and giving feedback is a refreshing way of having a different view. From AI’s perspective I could consider making some shots longer to give the main character more attention and time to introduce.
In conclusion, By writing a video script I learn how to make sense of ideas by writing them down even when they don’t connect at first, and I also learn and power of AI in writing matters and receiving a new perspective of a work or project.
The articles of faith is a list of 13 statement beliefs written by Joseph Smith back in 1830 that describe the basic beliefs that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have. Now, members of the church strive to abide by them.
The 13th article states: “We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.”
This applies to any aspect of my life, including the type of content I consume and/or create. There is a very tihn line between doing what is right and doing what is wrong nowadays. Many things that are ethically wrong, may be perceived as normal because they have become common amongst people. For example, plagarizying a picture, or a text from an original post without giving credit to the original author. When using Social Media, this becomes even more normal because there are no regulations to filtern information’s authenticity.
Being honest to others and one self is a hard thing to to in this generation, but the reward can be big for those who follow through. Like the article says, “If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.”
By definition, the main difference between horror and thriller is the mood they evoke in the audience, and the way they do it: Horror is meant to make the audience feel fear, disgust, or repulsion. On the other hand, Thriller is meant to make the audience feel suspense, excitement, surprise, and anxiety. Thrillers can include moments of violence or disturbing imagery, but tend to focus more on psychological manipulation and suspense, while Horror, can be less realistic and may include explicit scenes of violence, gore, and disturbing imagery.
I personally like Thriller movies more than horror movies because of the suspens buildup and mind tricks, However, some of my favrite movies are in the horror ratings staring with Hereditary (2018) which follows the life of The Graham family after a dark power posseses their house. Another movies on the list are Talk to Me (2023), and The Sixth Sense (1999). They are rated R and Horor/Mistery movies but in my personal opinion, they are more Thriller than anything. I would love to hear other opinions.
I am a 26 years old girl from Mexico, City who had never head about Gilmore Girls until the last year or so. It was mentioned in one of my Instagram Stories and it got me intrigued about what it was about.
Gilmore Girls is an American television series created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and starring Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore) and Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore). The show debuted on October 5, 2000, and became a flagship series for the network. There are seven seasons that follow the lives of Lorelai and her daughter Rory as they navigate life together in the fictitious, small town of Stars Hallow, Connecticut.
I watched seasons one through six and I absolutely loved it! It was funny, dramatic, entertaining. It has elements of humor, romance, real life situations, etc. Each character has their own unique set of personality traits that makes them become a big role of the whole show. The cast, aesthetic, music, and events will eventually lead the viewer to fully submerge and feel part of Stars Hallow too. The interesting thing about the first seasons of the show is that many viewers feel drawn to Rory’s character because it is satisfyingly to watch. She does everything right. She acts as a responsible adult and even will make decisions for her mother who should be the real caretaker.
As the seasons go by, I followed the character of Rory, and ended up feeling so disappointed. By season seven, Rory Gilmore has dropped out of College, lives in her grandparents house, does not have a job, and had become very entitled, an spoiled. How did that happen? Many will argue that it is her mother’s fault for allowing her to take on the role of caretaker at such a young age and did not have the opportunity to experience real rebellion until she was older. This ideas is partly true but can also be debatable.
There are a couple of reasons why Rory Gilmore ended up the way she did (other than because this is how writers developed her character). The first one: The grandparents, The second one: Lorelai. Rory’s grandparents show no boundaries towards their daughters and granddaughter throughout the seasons. They force themselves into their lives to be involved in what is going on in spite of them not liking them. This leads to Lorelai always running away from them emotionally and avoiding any deep, heartfelt relation with their parents. Rory, on the other hand, has no problem in socializing with them as long as they can pay for her schooling throughout the years. It becomes a problem when the grandparents give her everything without asking for any real sacrifice in return.
The problem with the mom: To make it short, Lorelai would always hide finances from her daughters when she was struggling, and never asked Rory to get a job and pay for her schooling as many of us have to. This is the reason why she was not aware of real life issues for a long time. In my personal opinion, college age (18-26 years old) is a time in which any person is partly or fully aware of their financial responsibilities in the world. I will not turn thin into a financial life lesson, but I take this as a specific example of why Rory was not aware of her responsibilities even though she always showed that she was responsible. Because her caretakers hid them from her.
At this time, I have not yet seen, “A Year in the Life” yet and I do not have a desire to. Some may argue that I may not have a full opinion on this topic, if I do not watch it, but this is not enough reason. If you are a fan of American shows, I highly recommend Gilmore Girls Seasons One through Six.
As I looked through the syllabus, I learned some ways why professional writing is important. It is important to write professionally to demostrate a level of understanding on a topic and demostrate a useful skill. Professional wirting can persuade, inform, instruct, debate, etc. and it is a valuable skill in different life settings.
On my last post I emphazied the importance of understanding you audience just like Jesus Christ did. You may, or may not believe in Him, but based on the Bible, He was a pretty big guy with controvertional ideas for his time. In the Bibles we can find many instances in which Jesus Christ knew His audience, understood their needs, challenges and specific situations, and He taught them accordingly. The point is that people would stop to hear his message because they would understand it and it was given to them in a simple manner. Just like that, in modern days, understanding an audeince can make an idea stick and get to the hearts of the people.
After Jesus Christ restored His church on this earth, God began to send revelations through the Prophet Joseph Smith. Many of these revelations contained valuable truths and principles that men should abide by. One of these principles is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people.
My father was born in Mexico City, and he was only fourteen years old when he met two young men called “Elders” who were teaching about Christ and His teachings. In his own words, “I was given a copy of The Book of Mormon in Spanish, and I started reading right away. The book was light, and the pages were thin and smelled like new. Reading through it made me feel something strong within my chest.”
Just like my father, many children of God around the world, have receive the truth of The Gospel of Jesus Christ in their hearts because it has been given to them in their own language, in simple terms that they can understand. When Jesus Christ Himself walked the earth, he touched the hearts of many because He understood their culture and how to speak them. He was able to socialize with the Jews and The Gentiles: audiences with different needs, concerns, challenges, and circumstances; And yet, Jesus knew how to talk to them.
God speaks to us in out own language and own understanding so we can receive the good news of His Gospel.
